BACKLINKS STRATEGY

BACKLINKS STRATEGY
Create a Varied, Sustained & Broad Approach to Generating Backlinks

BASIC CAMPAIGN

Backlinks are a vital and necessary part of doing business on the net. Google rates your website based on content and backlinks. And that rating has a tendency to increase as your site matures. Getting 2,000 backlinks in 48 hours will not push your site to the top. It isn’t natural. Websites get authority over time – as sites talk about you – as people create links to your site. That’s the more natural way. And Google takes that into consideration.

Whatever strategy you employ should be varied, sustained and broad. Do SOMETHING every week or every month. Use a variety of link building tactics and spread the link juice around your site. Don’t have all your backlinks pointing to your home page. Pick some of the most important pages on your site and make sure you have backlinks created for those pages.

Set a monthly backlinks budget – $25, $50, $100. Whatever is affordable. But make it sustained. A cumulative effect is far more powerful than a hit and miss strategy.

To that end here are some ideas to get you started.
